Representative Day’s re-election is a victory for women, men and young people who benefit from greater access to health care.

Voters’ overwhelming support of reproductive rights helped Higgins defeat PPAF opponent

 

BOSTON – The Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of Massachusetts (PPAF) celebrates the election of Natalie Higgins as State Representative of the 4th Worcester District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Higgins’s election is a victory for women, men and young people who benefit from greater access to health care.

“Natalie Higgins understands that access to sexual and reproductive health care and providing comprehensive sexuality education to young people are essential for building healthy communities. Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund endorses candidates for Massachusetts state Senate and House 

Online voter guide provides information on candidates’ voting records

BOSTON – The Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund (PPAF) endorsed 116 legislative candidates for election or re-election on the November ballot. The slate of endorsed candidates includes 13 candidates challenging incumbents and 11 candidates running for open seats. The large number of endorsements represents a distinct affirmation from candidates that they are ready to work alongside PPAF to build greater political will on Beacon Hill for smart sexual and reproductive health policies.

“Massachusetts can and must lead when it comes to promoting and protecting sexual and reproductive health,” said Dr. Jennifer Childs-Roshak, PPAF President. “We need elected officials who will put patients first, strengthen reproductive rights, and promote greater health equity for everyone no matter who they are or where they live. That’s why we’re working to elect sexual and reproductive health allies up and down the ballot.”

Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund endorses slate of candidates to represent the Cape and Islands 

Endorsed candidates will protect and promote sexual and reproductive health care

 

BOSTON – The Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of Massachusetts (PPAF) endorsed five candidates to represent the residents of the Cape and Islands. PPAF is the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, and works to elect sexual and reproductive health allies to the Massachusetts legislature.

PPAF has endorsed Julian Cyr for the Cape and Islands seat in the Massachusetts Senate. In races for the Massachusetts House of Representatives, PPAF has endorsed Dylan Fernandes to represent the Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket District, Aaron Kanzer to represent the Second Barnstable District, and Matthew Patrick to represent the Third Barnstable District. PPAF has also endorsed State Representative Sarah Peake, who does not face a challenger in the 4th Barnstable District.

“Every one of these endorsed candidates understands that access to sexual and reproductive health care and comprehensive sexuality education are essential for building healthy communities. If elected, they will work together to promote and protect accessible health care, expand access to comprehensive sexuality education, and eliminate barriers to vital health care for women, men, and young people,” said PPAF President, Dr. Jennifer Childs-Roshak.
